POSITION: DRIVER SUPERVISOR

Job Summary:

The Driver Management Crew plays a crucial role in our company, responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of driver operations.This crew ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our fleet and drivers, contributing to the overall success of the company.

The Driver Supervisor in particular will be responsible for ensuring that all transportation operations are conducted smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of drivers, optimizing routes, and maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management
Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Schedule and assign driving routes based on operational needs and driver availability.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drivers to promote continuous improvement.

Operational Efficiency:
Optimize routes and schedules to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Monitor vehicle performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all drivers adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including hours of service and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of driver activity, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation.
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Customer Service:
Address and resolve any issues or complaints from customers related to transportation and delivery services.
Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
Safety and Risk Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Conduct safety-training sessions and ensure that all drivers are up-to-date with safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics management role, with a focus on driver management.
Strong understanding of ICD and CFS operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the logistics industry.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
